Our folk artists work with many different materials

These include paintings made on cloth using natural dyes (e.g. Pata Chitra), clay pottery, ferrous and non-ferrous metalwork (e.g. Dhokra, a non-ferrous metal craft created using the wax-thread mould casting method), and natural grass work, including bamboo furniture and decorative products. These are painstakingly produced by hand and possess an unpolished beauty that many prefer.
